(PRWEB) September 11, 2001

Minnick Web Services is pleased to announce the release of the CIW E-commerce Designer Certification Bible, by Chris Minnick and Margaret T. Minnick.

The first book to cover Austin-based Prosoft Training's Certified Internet Webmaster certification program, CIW E-commerce Designer Certification Bible provides not only a solid foundation for taking and passing the CIW E-commerce exam, it also provides comprehensive information on all aspects of doing business on the Web -- from design and marketing to databases and transaction security.

"E-commerce has dramatically changed the nature of many businesses," said author Chris Minnick. "Today, though, talk of e-commerce evokes negative reactions among many. Some of the issues of concern are privacy, security, usability, and feasibility. In each of these areas, e-businesses have time and time again shown that there is good reason to be concerned. During the e-commerce gold rush of the late 90s and 2000 the worst instincts of marketing people and managers were passed off as legitimate business strategies. As a result, e-commerce lost a lot of good will."

Mr. Minnick sees the CIW E-commerce Designer Certification Bible as a guidebook for reclaiming this good will:

"We wrote this book to help train a new breed of responsible and broadly educated e-commerce professionals who will respect customer privacy, understand the key legal and security issues involved in the Internet, and who will care about customer service in addition to having the technical skills necessary to do business on the Web."

The book can be purchased at major bookstores such as Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble, Fatbrain.com, and Borders.
