Ashton Harbor's initial release will be the highest quality of outdoor teak furniture.

"The reason why Teak is sometimes so expensive is because it is so rare," said Richard Jamieson, manufacturer of Ashton Harbor's Outdoor Division. "Teak is found in very few countries. That is why it is such a prestigious wood to have on any piece of outdoor furniture. Just like lumber for building homes, Teak also has grades for the quality of wood. Grade A - Straight grains, little or no knots, uniform coloring throughout. Grade B - 1 board may have a 2 or 3 knots, slight difference in coloring. Grade C - Many knots, less durable, many different colors, grains not straight. [We only use Grade A Teak UNLESS SPECIFIED. Some other companies say they use Grade A, but they really only use it WHERE SPECIFIED."
