All of Zero today introduces TraxStocks, a powerful visual market analysis tool. It uses the iPhone's unique touch screen and advanced data visualization techniques to put extensive market data literally at your fingertips.

It's not just stocks.
Choose to display indexes, funds, commodities and anything else on Yahoo finance. View many stocks together to track relationships. Visually compare selected stocks in detail. The main portrait view shows a graphical list of tracked stocks and other market items. Each graph is a simple sparkline, representing values over the selected date range. A user can quickly see current value, highs, lows, relative stock and index performance for all items over the selected time period.

Interact with your market data.
Touch any sparkline and get the value for that point. Touch an item to see current data and minute-by-minute displays for the last day traded. Swipe a finger across the screen and the view will slide through time. Use the date selector to jump to a specific point in time. Select a different time frame to see from 1 week to 2 years of data on each screen. Examine the entire history from opening day to current value. Rotate the device clockwise and a graph compares trends in closing price, percent change and volume for selected stocks and indexes. Turn counterclockwise and a single graph compares value, % change or volume over time on the full screen.

All of Zero was founded by a brother and sister team to create iPhone apps for visualization and learning. We combine our expertise in programming and data analysis.

Derrek Leute went to Simon's Rock college at the young age of 16. Immediately after graduating with a B.A. he began doing enterprise web development for small companies including Schoolspring.com, the leading job source for educators. With the launch of the iPhone he shifted into creating iPhone apps for the iTunes appstore.

Aurora Matzkin is a Ph.D candidate at the Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice. She has a masters degree in education from New York University and an undergraduate degree from Dartmouth. She is a Koop Scholar and has a passion for visual representations of data. "I wanted to create an interactive mega-graphic for the iPhone using 'sparklines' -- intense, wordsized graphics. Design of this app utilized Edward Tufte's principles of data graphics, graphical excellence and analytical design. These principles allow efficient display and understanding of multivariate data over time. Putting so much interactive data in the palm of the hand is powerful. The technology we have developed for this app allows us to create interactive mega-graphics for any kind of time-varying data -- not just financial markets. TraxStocks is our first in a series of Trax products. There are applications for this technology in nearly every area of science, engineering and business."
