Free Collaboration and Cloud Computing Strategy Seminar Scheduled In Dayton, OH Event to Feature Expert Speakers from Microsoft and Sogeti Dayton, OH (Vocus) September 9, 2009 Sogeti, a premier provider of information technology services, today announced it will be hosting an event in Dayton, Ohio geared to help companies gain strategic insights about collaboration and cloud computing. The event will be held September 15th from 5:15 pm to 8:30 pm at Sinclair Community College's Ponitz Center in the Earley Auditorium. The presentations will elaborate on some of the insights highlighted in Collaboration in the Cloud, a book co-authored by Microsoft and Sogeti which was released earlier this year. The event is designed to provide practical guidance and inspiration for CIOs, IT executives and Business Architects in an interactive and engaging forum. Topics to be discussed include the latest business and technology trends, collaboration as an essential component for business success, how collaboration and cloud computing complement each other, cloud computing and IT strategy, Software + Services and prerequisites for improving collaboration. The event will featured two esteemed speakers, Erik van Ommeren from Sogeti and Bob Grohovsky from Microsoft. Van Ommeren, Director of Sogeti's international research institute, VINT, is one of the authors of Collaboration in the Cloud. Grohovsky is the Unified Communications (UC) Team Manager responsible for aligning Microsoft's UC vision with customers' business needs. "Improving collaboration between people and between organizations is no longer optional if you want to survive in today's hyper connected business world," explains van Ommeren. "I've worked with many companies that have a hard time setting a course for Web2.0, the new economic reality, cloud computing and changes in how people work. There are great opportunities for those who know how to respond, and that is what these events are all about. I hope to provide a positive note that inspires people to action." This event is free of charge and the content is not sales oriented. Free Parking is available in the garage beneath the Ponitz Center (between 3rd & 4th Streets). Attendees will also receive a complimentary copy of Collaboration in the Cloud. To register for the event, please send an e-mail with your contact information to Bob Hart, Geographic Vice President of Sogeti's Dayton office, at Robert (dot) hart (at) us (dot) sogeti (dot) com. This event is part of a yearlong tour that is already underway--with similar events completed earlier this year in New York, Houston, Minneapolis, Detroit, Columbus and Cleveland. In addition, the company plans to host additional seminars in cities this summer including Indianapolis, Kansas City, Austin, San Antonio and Des Moines.
