Overlooked But Not Forgotten Job Haters, Incorporated offers dissatisfied employees alternatives. "Despite popular belief we do not teach people how to hate their job." LOS ANGELES, CA (PRWEB) September 15, 2005 -- An increasing number of Americans are experiencing job dissatisfaction, but little is being done to ensure that employees truly enjoy their experiences at work. Job Haters, Incorporated was founded to change all of that. By offering workers a new way of approaching the work day, Job Haters makes claims of success when their clients find new jobs, start new businesses or find greater satisfaction with the same job.
"Job dissatisfaction is similar to an abusive relationship or an addiction. You know it's not good for you but you keep going back. It affects other areas of your life as well," said founder Pamela Daniels.
"We are often misunderstood because we are not a job placement agency or career counseling center. Many people just don't get it and we hope that our Open Mic Segment at the 4th Annual West Hollywood Book Fair will help to change that. Job Haters is about positive work and life experiences."
Attendees at this year's book fair will have an opportunity to compete for prizes as they express positive ways to deal with job hatred. Prizes for the competition include a custom frame (up to $50 value) donated by www.JobHatersInc.com, www.BarbaraHamaker.com, designer T-shirt from www.Ohmtastic.com, music by Kimberly Locke and gift certificates to local businesses.
Last year, more than 20,000 attended the fair, including local celebrities. Another big event is underway for Sunday, October 2, from 10 am to 6 pm at West Hollywood Park (647 N. San Vicente). The Open Mic is scheduled for 4:15, so anyone wishing to compete or just learn how they can deal with a job they hate should be there. For more info e-mail wehobookfair@jobhatersinc.com.
Daniels, author of "101 Things to do When You Hate Your Job", holds a Bachelors in Communications and strives to enhance communication in workplaces across America. "Miscommunication can lead to a decline in workplace morale, productivity and loyalty. This should be of concern to employees and employers alike. Work is a life altering experience and like any other social issue, job dissatisfaction should not be overlooked," said Daniels.
Job Haters, Incorporated is a resource for innovative approaches to the work day.
