Triumph for Custom Controls in 2009 Crestron International Integration Awards

From a total of 60 entries, Custom Controls championed over the competition, to win the Best High Rise Living award in the pan European Awards.

Custom Controls - installers of high end bespoke home entertainment and control systems - are pleased to announce their recent success at the 2009 Crestron Integration Awards. From a total of 60 entries, Custom Controls championed over the competition, to win the Best High Rise Living award in the pan European Awards.

The winning project was the 12,000 square foot Penthouse at the top of the iconic Beetham Tower in Manchester. The Penthouse spans the whole of the top two floors of the 47 floor tower, the tallest residential tower in Europe. Featuring a Crestron controlled indoor olive grove, spa complex - featuring swimming pool, sauna and steam room - and whole apartment audio video distribution system. A Crestron controlled Kaleidescape film and music server allows the client to enjoy high definition films on any TV in the apartment, including the Gym (equipped with two TV's for his and hers exercising!) and music throughout including the dual en-suites off the master bedroom suite. The judges were also impressed by the simple control of the complex apartment Building Management System (Heating, Ventilation and Cooling) - a custom touch panel interface allows the clients to adjust temperatures and ventilation in any room of the apartment whilst viewing temperatures. The same interface also allows custom lighting scenes to be created or viewing of CCTV cameras from around the property and private lift lobby.

In its second year, Crestron chose to present the award at an extremely stylish party, for 150 of their top dealers, hosted at their Surrey HQ. This award builds on Custom Controls' finalist status of 2008 and is a testament to the quality of the systems provided by Custom Controls.
