Daniel W. Small, Esq. practices law in Nashville, Tennessee, where he concentrates on banking, securities, and corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions and commercial litigation. Mr. Small received his A.B. degree from Harvard University and his J.D. degree from Vanderbilt Law School. He has represented many banks and other businesses in all aspects of their commercial businesses, from start up to liquidation, from business counseling to major litigation. Mr. Small is a member of the Bank Lawyers Committee of the Tennessee Bankers Association and he is a frequent speaker on commercial matters. He recently served as lead counsel in the formation of Bank of the South, a new Tennessee bank which received subscriptions for nearly $25 million in start up capital and for Mid South Bank, a new Tennessee bank which raised nearly $30 million in new capital. He also argued successfully for the appellant in the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit in Bass v. Janney Montgomery Scott, Inc., 210 F.3d 577 (6th Cir. 2000).

Nancy Stabell is a senior associate at Frost Brown Todd, LLC where she handles a wide range of commercial real estate, commercial, and public finance matters. Since joining the firm, she has represented national and state banks, real estate developers and corporate owners of commercial properties in the areas of lending, acquisition, development and leasing. In addition to representing several clients with their multi-state real estate development and financing projects, Ms. Stabell has also acted as bond counsel and special borrower counsel in a $102 million municipal tax-exempt bond offering. She is a graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Law where she was a member of the Tennessee Law Review and the Tennessee Business Journal. She completed her masters of business administration degree at the University of Mississippi. Ms. Stabell completed internships with the Honorable Juliet Griffin, U.S. Magistrate Judge and the Honorable Frank Drowota, Tennessee Supreme Court. She completed a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Joe B. Brown, U.S. Magistrate Judge, Middle District of Tennessee, prior to joining Frost Brown Todd, LLC in October 2000.

Barrett B. Sutton is a member of Waller Lansden. Mr. Sutton practices primarily in the areas of commercial real estate, corporate and finance transactions. He represents clients in connection with the formation of business ventures and the acquisition, management, financing, and disposition of commercial properties. Mr. Sutton has represented developers, syndicators, development and construction lenders, permanent lenders, property managers, and end users of commercial, industrial, residential, and retail projects. He received his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University, where he graduated magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa. Mr. Sutton received his J.D. degree from the University of Virginia. He is an active member in CoreNet, an association of corporate real estate professionals, and the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP). Ernest B. Williams IV, is the managing shareholder of Williams & Prochaska, P.C., Nashville and Memphis, Tennessee and is the former chair of the American Bar Association, Business Section, Consumer Bankruptcy Committee. He is on the Board of Governors of the Conference of Consumer Finance Law. Mr. Williams is a member of the American Bar Association, Section of Business Law, Commercial and Consumer Financial Services Committees, and has served on the Governing Committee of each. He has served as Tennessee editor for each of CarLaw and HouseLaw. Mr. Williams is a member of the Association of Commercial Finance Attorneys and is a regular instructor for continuing legal education both in Tennessee and nationally, generally teaching on the subjects of consumer regulation and RESPA as well as commercial real property finance. He assists consumer lenders and mortgage loan servicers in developing portfolio compliance strategies. Mr. Williams represents banks, finance companies, real estate brokers and developers in Real Estate transactions. He is also a member of the Nashville, and Tennessee Bar Associations. Mr. Williams was vice chair, Business Bankruptcy Committee, Subcommittee on Claims, Priorities and Exemptions, 1988-1997; chair, Task Force on Perfection of Rents and Leases in Bankruptcy, 1990-1995.
