Lorman Education Services presents Internal Controls seminar on November 8 This "Internal Controls" seminar will provide valuable information on management controls, ethics and fraud prevention techniques. (PRWEB) September 22, 2005 -- This seminar will provide valuable information on management controls, ethics and fraud prevention techniques. The program will help educate attendees on how we arrived at Sarbanes-Oxley and best practices for improving operations, providing reliable financial reporting, and complying with laws and regulations.
Earl R. Thomas began his career in industry with a large distribution company in Hawaii where he was an internal auditor for three years. In that capacity, he was responsible for establishing, implementing and monitoring internal controls. Later, after transferring to the corporate tax department, he was able to use his knowledge of internal controls to identify previously ignored areas where internal controls were needed. During his 16 years in public accounting, Mr. Thomas worked very closely with both internal and external auditors on issues of internal control. He has lead seminars for Lorman for many years.
This one-day seminar is designed for controllers, accountants, CFOs, CEOs, business owners and managers, auditors and compliance officers, financial analysts, risk managers, operations managers, consultants, lending professionals and attorneys.
