Reality Contest Show Concludes Production of Pilot Episode

New reality show completes its pilot episode.

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) September 26, 2005

Producers for the super-tough reality show "The Ultimate, Ultimate Challenge" today celebrated the successful conclusion of their pilot episode. Filmed on a Caribbean island over two weeks, the show will soon be sent through post-production and shopped to cable networks in hopes of a full-season order.

The difficult final challenge on the show left one contestant bruised enough to forfeit the game, ending the production ahead of schedule. Though press reports greatly exaggerated the event, the injury was minor. The contestant was given immediate medical attention at a local hospital, and was released soon after.

Still, a tough challenge doesn't hurt the show's notoriety, as Executive Producer Kevin Blatt knows well. He created the concept of the Ultimate, Ultimate Challenge after spearheading the infamous Paris Hilton video that made her a household name. Jumping to reality TV from adult entertainment is a natural crossover, says Blatt, who expects major success with the show.

He credits reality TV producer Mark Burnett for his inspiration, calling him the Godfather of reality TV. As for the contestant injury, Blatt plans to use the dramatic final challenge uncut in the show's pilot episode for maximum effect, and pointed to Burnett's famous words: "Nothing changes. I'm not even going to make any edits because it's real."

After nationwide auditions during the summer, six contestants had been chosen to compete in "The Ultimate, Ultimate Challenge," which was billed as a brutal combination of "Survivor," "Fear Factor," and "Eco-Challenge." The winner's take was a cash prize of $5,000, and appearance in the show's full production season.
