HauteSpot Networks Releases Feature Rich Multi Port Wireless Broadband Access Router HauteSpot Networks, a leading supplier of wireless broadband access equipment, is pleased to announce customer availabiity of the HR-WRAPDX and HR-WRAPDX2 wireless broadband access routers. San Luis Obispo, CA (PRWEB) September 24, 2005 -- HauteSpot Networks announced today that they have released the HR-WRAPDX and HR-WRAPDX2 wireless broadband access routers and able to fulfill orders from customers.
The HR-WRAPDX and HR-WRAPDX2 are low cost wireless routers supporting 2.4, 4.9, 5.2, 5.6 and 5.8 GHz frequencies and 802.11a/b/g protocols.
The HR-WRAPDX2 is a dual radio unit with one wired Ethernet port, two Female N Type antenna connectors, a waterproof IP 6/7 rated enclosure, and a power over ethernet power injector and supply. It also operates on 12VDC and includes everything required to install except CAT5 cabling, pigtail connectors and antennas.
The HR-WRAPDX is designed for use as a customer premise bridge (subscriber equipment), a hot spot access point, a neighborhood repeater, or a point to point bridge.
The HR-WRAPDX2 is intended to be used as a repeater with one radio used for backhaul, ususally on 5.8GHz, and the second radio used for client access, usually on 2.4GHz.
The HR-WRAPDX2 can also be used in sectorized access installations or as a full duplex bridge where one radio is a transmitter and the other is a receiver with the radios bound together in a virtual interface.
Both systems include a complete software stack supporting a variety of routing, bridging and management functions, including bandwidth control/QoS support, dynamic frequency selection, WDS transparent bridging, alignment mode, and more.
The modular design of the HR-WRAPDX series allows the products to be easily upgraded from current technologies such as 802.11 to emerging technologies such as 802.16 (WiMax), protecting customer investment.
"The HR-WRAPDX series of products offer ISPs, carriers, enterprises and government entities tremendous value," said Bob Ehlers of HauteSpot Networks. "These routers are completely flexible, and have features which are not even available on high end proprietary equipment. When combined with low cost customer premise equipment like the NL-2611-CB5+, operators have the most efficient economic model available for delivering high quality, managed, wireless broadband."
