
The International Academy of Design & Technology Celebrates Annual Student Fashion Show IMAGINE! 2009 Fashion design students from The International Academy of Design & Technology (the Academy) will be on the runway showing off the results of this year's efforts at a gala, outdoor fashion show Friday, September 18, 2009, 8 p.m. at the Academy campus in Tukwila. Seattle, WA (Vocus) September 17, 2009 Fashion design students from The International Academy of Design & Technology (the Academy) will be on the runway showing off the results of this year's efforts at a gala, outdoor fashion show Friday, September 18, 2009, 8 p.m. at the Academy campus in Tukwila. "The students never cease to amaze me," said Academy President Sharice Lance. "Their work is always innovative and fresh and I know under the faculty's direction the quality is outstanding as well." After using more than 3,000 yards of fabric, 35 students will present 100 garments, modeled both by students and professional models. The designs represent garments in the categories of casual and active sportswear, day wear, career, cocktail, costumes, evening wear and bridal. The work will be judged and a "best of show" winner will be announced that evening. A VIP reception and fashion show will be presented on site at the Tukwila campus located at 645 Andover Park West under canopies and in tents in the same style as the celebrated Fashion Week at Bryant Park in New York City.
