(PRWEB) September 29, 2005 -- Acclaimed singer-songwriter, John Coinman releases his latest CD, "Songs From the Modern West" on international label, CoraZong Records, and administered by Bug Music. Coinman has used his unique desert noir flair to paint an audio oasis for his fans with this latest release. John wrote all of the songs, and also enlisted some of his favorite writers to help out, like James Intveld, and Amy Rigby. Teddy Morgan performed on (electric guitars/vocals/songwriter), produced and recorded, Songs From the Modern West". Morgan's also known for his work with Cracker, Calexico, Kelly Paradekooper, and Cathy Rivers. Nashville's Richard Dodd (Tom Petty) mastered the CD. Many other talented artists blended their own colors to this spectacular sound, including Blair Forward (bass/songwriter), Larry Cobb (drums), Jimmy Carr (vibes), Park Chislom (vocals), Matt Crouse (percussion), Neil Harry (pedal steel), Victoria Cunninham (violin), Mindy Kleingartner (congas), and Nic Luca (string arrangement).

The Tucson based artist holds an impressive resume that includes music awards (Best Songwriter 1999, & Best Performing Artist 2000 in Tucson), along with collaborations with some of the music and movie industries' most influential. He's worked on projects with Kevin Costner, John Densmore (The Doors), Michael Blake (writer of Dances With Wolves), and countless other actors and musicians.

John Coinman has proven himself to be a versatile and accomplished musician. His previous albums, "The Man Called Someone", 41 Crosses", and "River of Fire" were all met with praise from both press and radio. When asked about his latest project, Coinman said, "We are all excited about this new CD, because it has a very contemporary edge to it, in addition to keeping the Southwest feel and imagery." Be sure to look and listen for his desert noir spirit on "Songs From the Modern West."

"John Coinman's songs move like the wind. He is the lone coyote howling in the desert. He has no secrets. He knows where the water is. You have to listen carefully: maybe get down on your knees, and put your ear to the ground."
