Santa Clara, CA (PRWEB) September 30, 2005 -- With the finish line for the 2005 SPEED World Challenge season in sight, Scott Bradley and the Circuit City/Protomotive team are preparing for the final competition. Bradley, who grew up racing in Northern California, will compete on his home track of Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey, California, on October 16 for the final Round 11 of the SWC series.

It is always great to return to for a challenge on my home track, especially at the conclusion of a demanding season," explained Bradley of Santa Clara, California. While we continued to have issues with the car throughout the series, we have made some improvements to prepare for Laguna Seca and are optimistic about qualifying for and competing in the race."

Bradley and the team missed the last race earlier this month at Mosport International Raceway in Canada to focus instead on testing and development of the car. World Challenge is an extremely competitive series and Bradley and the Circuit City/Protomotive team want to be well prepared for the final race of the year.

In addition to the race, Bradley is planning two local events with the Monterey County Sheriffs Office and the Boys and Girls Club Monterey County-Seaside Unit. On Thursday, October 6 at 11 AM, Bradley and a representative from the Sheriffs Office will go to the club, located at 1332 La Salle in Seaside, with his car and gear to talk with some 100 young people about safe driving, both on and off the race track. Bradley has then invited the middle and high school-age kids to the track at 1 PM Friday, October 14 for a pre-race weekend tour of the Mazda Laguna Seca Raceway led by track PR official Reece White.

When he wasnt racing this season, Bradley was busy as a featured co-host on the Monterey-based radio program As the Wheels Turn" with local motorsports writers Dave Coffin and Tony Karis. Bradley called in each weekend from wherever he was to offer his track report and perspective. To hear Bradley on the air, tune in to AM 1240 KNRY at 9 AM on Saturdays for the one-hour show. On October 15, the show is expected to broadcast live from Laguna Seca for race weekend highlights.

Tickets for the mid-October race are available in advance by visiting www.laguna-seca.com or calling 1-800-327-SECA (7322). To watch the race on television, same day coverage will be broadcast on SPEED TV, October 16 at 3 PM, Pacific Standard Time.
