The Tutu Boutique to Sponsor Hole at The Friends of Bobby Driscoll, Jr. Golf Tournament In an attempt to raise money to defray direct and indirect costs of surgery and recuperation, The Friends of Bobby Driscoll, Jr., will hold a Golf Tournament at the Kelly Greens Course in Nahant, Ma. Sunday, October 23, 2005. (PRWEB) October 5, 2005 -- In an attempt to raise money to defray direct and indirect costs of surgery and recuperation, The Friends of Bobby Driscoll, Jr., will hold a Golf Tournament at the Kelly Greens Course in Nahant, Ma. Sunday, October 23, 2005.
Robert Edward Driscoll, Jr., a friend, son, brother, nephew, cousin, husband, father, terrific role model and fierce competitor, has recently been diagnosed with Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis (FSG), a rare kidney disease which requires a kidney transplant as soon as possible.
Those who know Bobby realize that no one has more determination and fight. We ask you to join Bobby, his wife Karen, and his son Shea, in his fight to return to his natural strength and good health. You can do this by participating as a golfer, sponsor, dinner guest or donor for this tournament. All proceeds will be used to defray the expenses incurred by Bobby's imminent kidney transplant.
Bobby is very close and dear to the owners of the Tutu Boutique. Peter Wonson, owner of the Tutu Boutique, is Bobby's first cousin and friend. The two have been competing against each other for as long as both can remember. Due to Bob's superior athletic ability and conditioning Peter has always had to cheat to slow Bob down. Holding, tripping, the occasional late hit are all skills that Peter has perfected in his attempt for his team to come out on top. Now that they are older the clashes have slowed down to one contest a year, the annual Thanksgiving Day game at Emerson field in Peabody, MA. This is a heavy handed, full contact game of flag football that has become a tradition for the Driscoll family. We look forward to Bobby's return to the Grid Iron.
There are options for you to help. The golf is going to be played in groups of five, Kelly Greens is a nine-hole course; the cost per fivesome is $500.00. There is the opportunity to sponsor a hole; a sign will be placed on a tee box with your company name and information for $100.00. There is going to be a barbecue and dancing after golf, the cost for dinner is $35.00, or you can simply make a donation. Reserve your fivesomes early; there is a 90 golfer limit. If you are interested please contact Peter at The Tutu Boutique, he will send you the information.
