Navy Veteran Launches New Paintballing Website and Blog

1APaintball.com is a new website emerging as the premier online destination for paintball guns, apparel, and ammunition. Founded by Navy veteran Marvin Bottum, the website's newest feature is a blog which will educate others on paintball safety issues, strategies for paintballing, teamwork tactics and more.

Long before Marvin Bottum founded http://www.1APaintball.com, he worked as a youth activities director on an Air Force base, where paintballing was one of his favorite pastimes.

"I started a paintball program when I worked as a youth activities director on an Air Force base," said Bottum. "I started playing paintball games with teenagers in the program, but I was surprised by the number of airmen who owned paintball guns and were interested in joining. As time passed, paintballing became one of the favorite activities on base."

After enjoying paintballing in the past and serving as the youth activities director, Bottum was inspired to create a paintball equipment website.

"I'm planning on getting back into paintballing more in the near future, but for now, I'm content to provide other paintballers with great equipment," said Bottum. "Right now I think I have just about all the equipment a paintballer could ask for, but I plan on adding more in the future."

"I want to emphasize that paintballing is a great team building activity, whether it's amongst friends, co-workers or armed forces buddies," said Bottum. "On the blog I'll be talking about different paintball strategies, potential safety hazards and choosing equipment, with a more specific focus on teamwork and leadership exercises," he added.

Bottum is also a strong advocate for youth paintball, and hopes for his blog to become a resource for youth players.

"I think paintball is a great youth oriented activity, though it can be played by people of all ages," said Bottum. "I'd like to encourage youth players, and all paintballers, to visit my blog and find safety tips as well as fun team activities."
