Best-selling Author John Grisham to Attend Press Conference at "Rebuild the Coast Golf Tournament on October 10, 2005

Best-selling author John Grisham and his wife Renee, will attend a press conference prior to the "Rebuild the Coast" Golf Tournament on Monday, October 10, 2005 at 11:00 am at Wintergreen Resort's Stoney Creek Golf course in Nelson County Virginia. Fundraising Event to be held at Wintergreen Resort's Stoney Creek Golf Course in Nelson County

(PRWEB) October 6, 2005 -- Nelson County, Virginia-Best-selling author John Grisham and his wife Renee, will attend a press conference prior to the "Rebuild the Coast" Golf Tournament on Monday, October 10, 2005 at 11:00 am at Wintergreen Resort's Stoney Creek Golf course in Nelson County Virginia. Nelson County survivors of Hurricane Camille in 1969, will also appear with the Grishams at the 11 am press conference.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the "Rebuild the Coast Fund" established by John Grisham and his wife Renee. The Grishams have provided an initial donation of $5 million to establish the fund. The project will raise funds for immediate humanitarian needs and to assist in the relief efforts on the Mississippi Gulf Coast with emphasis on the rebuilding of homes and small businesses.

The "Rebuild the Coast" Golf Tournament sold-out for teams in less than one week of the announcement. However, sponsorships and silent auction donations are still needed. Sponsorship packages include a Gold Level sponsorship for $1,200; a Silver Level Sponsorship for $600.00; a Corporate Sponsorship for $500 and Hole and Tee Sponsors for $200.00.

Non-golfers can attend the 5:00 pm reception following the tournament for $40 and participate in the silent auction featuring signed books by John Grisham as well as other great items, including "Your Own Exclusive Golf Course for the Day" for up to 100 golfers at Wintergreen's Devils Knob championship golf course as well as a "House in France" for a week.
