Popular 'Straight Talk' Columnist Announces Launch of New Website, Continuing Tradition of Addressing Current Events with Unapologetic, Old-fashioned Common Sense Muriel Sluyter, renowned writer and columnist, announces the new home for her 'Straight Talk' column on her new website 'Rocky Mountain Straight Talk.' (PRWEB) October 7, 2005 -- Muriel Sluyter, renowned writer and columnist, announces the new home for her “Straight Talk” column on her new website “Rocky Mountain Straight Talk”. Sluyter, along with daughter Candace Salima, created the site in response to national interest.
Sluyter’s views and opinions on what she calls, “matters which count and have substance”, have won her both supporters and detractors nationwide. Sluyter doesn’t shy away from today’s tough social issues (i.e education, social security, politics, special interest groups, etc.)and calls it as she sees it. If it brings her disparagement, she welcomes it. One angry reader attacked her scathing column on our public school system’s practice of graduating and not educating our students, calling it unfair and misleading. Her supporters, however, applaud her frankness and ability to put into words their thoughts, their views and their beliefs.
Recently, Sluyter’s column was discontinued by the Cortez Journal, a newspaper serving the Four-Corners area of Colorado, Arizona, Utah and New Mexico. Sluyter said her views did not mesh well with the liberal outlook of the paper and adds she is happy having full control of her column’s themes and content.
Sluyter’s new website, will serve as a permanent archive for her writings and feature her weekly column.
