Titus Labs and Epok Partnership to Offer SharePoint Security Solution Partnership Provides Complete Solution for Securing SharePoint Content for Internal and External Users. Bethesda, MD (Vocus) September 29, 2009 Epok Inc. announced today it has integrated its Epok Edition for Microsoft SharePoint with Titus Lab’s SharePoint Classification and Security solutions. This integrated solution allows organizations to manage the large volumes of documents that are being moved to the SharePoint platform and to securely extend access to those documents to both internal and external users. Through this partnership, Epok will offer classification and security technology as part of its total SharePoint security solution. Titus Lab’s Metadata Security solution uses SharePoint document metadata to control access and assign permissions. This significantly improves the security of SharePoint document repositories. Other solutions from Titus Labs allow administrators to define policy to watermark documents in order to prevent inadvertent loss of sensitive information, and to automatically create PDF versions of documents to facilitate sharing and archiving.
“The combined solution addresses the two biggest challenges to large-scale SharePoint deployments: managing large volumes of sensitive information and extending access to external users such as partners, customers, suppliers and distributors,” said Fred Giordano, CEO of Epok Inc. “The combined solution from Epok and Titus Labs allows organizations to securely expand their use of SharePoint to include external users and large volumes of sensitive information.” “The Titus Labs classification and security solutions for SharePoint allow customers to better control their sensitive content and securely share some of that information with trusted partners. The Epok extranet solution provides the visibility, control and reporting needed to securely add these partners to SharePoint deployments,” said Charlie Pulfer, the Vice President Product Marketing, Titus Labs.
