Canton, MI (PRWEB) October 13, 2005 -- The Canton-based Society for Nonprofit Organizations (SNPO) recently announced a strategic partnership with the Association of Jewish Center Professionals (AJCP). The partnership will now provide membership in the Society to the more than 850 members of AJCP. Members of AJCP include current professional staff in Jewish Community Centers and YM-YWHA’s as well as alumni.
The announcement was made by SNPO President Katie Burnham Laverty. “By partnering with AJCP, we strengthen our local nonprofit communities by keeping them connected to national networks and the latest resources in the field,” said Burnham Laverty. “In addition, the partnership further extends the AJCP vision of strengthening and perpetuating the continuity and vitality of the Jewish Community Center movement. It’s a win-win situation for both organizations,” she added.
AJCP includes people who work with the heart of the Jewish community: infants, toddlers, children, teens, adults, seniors, families and those with developmental disabilities. Through programs, conferences, writings and advocacy, AJCP provides opportunities to connect professional colleagues throughout the United States, Canada and Israel.
“Working with SNPO and providing their resources to our membership helps strengthen our profession and furthers our professional development so we can continue to represent the highest values and standards for our field,” noted David Sorkin, Board President of AJCP.
