New Notification Service Locates Low-Priced Gas

Convenient email service directs you to the cheapest gas in your community. Members also get a free guide with gas-saving tips just for joining. Customers choose their preferred zip codes, gas grade, gas brands and email frequency.

Bellingham, WA (PRWEB) October 13, 2005 -- A new e-mail service, GasPriceAlert, is helping consumers use their wallets to fight the budget-busting prices set by corporate oil companies and super-rich oil cartels.

Subscribers receive e-mails -- as often as they’d like -- listing stations in their area with the lowest-priced gas. They select up to three zip codes and can specify a particular brand and grade of gas. Links to "Yahoo! Maps" provide the shortest route to the cheapest gas.

How much GasPriceAlert saves subscribers depends on many factors: how many cars, trucks, or SUVs you own, how much you drive, where you drive, how much you’re already paying for gas.

But based on Environmental Protection Agency miles-per-gallon averages, the typical two-car family could save at least $546 annually. If you drive a gas-guzzler your savings will be greater yet. Even if you save less than $500 annually, you’re sure to easily recoup your investment -- GasPriceAlert costs just $34.95 a year.

Subscribers also get a hyperlink to "Tell Them to Rob Someone Else: The Quick and Easy Guide to Improving Gas Mileage." It’s full of tips on improving gas mileage, including some you might not have heard before. There is also a simple formula for calculating gas mileage and information on buying a car that is stylish and energy efficient.

Free Web sites offer information on low-priced gas, but they rely on tips -- your neighborhood or town may not even be listed. GasPriceAlert’s e-mails not only provide information tailored to

members, they’re more convenient.
