Shreveport, LA (PRWEB) October 16, 2005 SHREVEPORT, La.—All My Best is a collection of poetry by a most unlikely poet. Jerry Lowery is an ex-construction worker, an ex-marine and an ex-prison guard. From his life of hard labor and rough times he created a collection of poems dealing with life, hope, faith, love and community. “My poems are more about life and hope than anything else,” Lowery said. “I believe the best part of life is that part which you share with someone else.” Lowery began writing his poems to help friends through troubled times, but he soon discovered putting his words of wisdom on paper could mean more than he and his friends had realized. “I think my poetry was meant to be shared with the world,” Lowery said. “I truly hope that everyone will find one verse that speaks to them in a special way.” Lowery was born and raised in Shreveport, La. The fourth of fourteen children, Lowery always thought he would be a novelist and share his stories of life growing up and in the service, but when he finally picked up the pen to begin writing, the words in All My Best began flowing to the paper.
