Art Techo? SavRow Diamond Redefines Computer Aesthetics In a world where computer systems are built in 100,000 production run, SavRow's Diamond is the rarest of things -- a computer work of art. (PRWEB) October 17, 2005 -- "Oooh this is class and quality and curves. (taps hand sewn red leather trim) Lets put two wheels on it and cycle down Highway 66. This is a Harley. This is really cool. Oooh this is top range Vespa. This is sex on a box isn’t it?"
You may think that the commentator is speaking about a vintage motorcycle or a classic sports car, or some expensive sculpture. But no -- the above comments are taken from Art Gallery owner Lee Bensen as he discusses the limited edition SavRow Diamond desktop (www.savrow.com) on Channel 5’s GadgetShow.
"Our approach has always been a bit different. Our products have the following they have and the demand we enjoy because we are not like other computer builders. Every computer is a work of art, individually crafted and unique. And none more so than the limited edition SavRow Diamond." Ali Raissi-Dehkordy (Managing Director, SavRow)
Produced as a series of 12 units per year, the SavRow Diamond lives in a rarer world of yachts and million dollar sports cars, rather than the world of computers where production runs can be into the hundreds of thousands. This rarity and design excellence has lead to the Diamond being featured as the world best PC in publications such as Esquire, Boom and FHM.
"Our clientele is one of the most desirable in the world they are connoisseurs, whether it is their tailoring, vehicles or technology, they appreciate the very best and we provide them with the very best. Our approach has always been the synergy of high design and high technology and the Diamond is a flagship example of that."
Featuring design elements that are not strangers to luxury automobiles, the SavRow Diamond is available hand-chromed, with hand-stitched leather trim in the clients choice of leather (lambskin is the current favourite). Aesthetic flair is provided through precisely engineered laser cut art deco design of the case. SavRow’s philosophy of “Bespoke Technology” means that it has dealt with customer requests with ease, offering Diamonds in gold and platinum vanadium plated.
“I would however stress that the design element alone is not what sets SavRow apart. Our computers have regularly won technology awards on the basis of the innovations that they contain and the performance that they provide. We have a true computer racing pedigree, which started with the SavRow Plutonium, the world’s first 4GHz consumer desktop, launched in May 2003, around 2 years ahead of the market and even now replaced by a faster model that is still a year ahead of the competition powered by a cutting-edge HeatSeeker Liquid Chilling system.”
With a client base of CEOs, bankers and the international jet set, SavRow has no plans to go towards the mass-market approach of the PC market. “We enjoy great relationships with our clients, a mass-market approach would no allow that -- I prefer knowing my customers names.”
SavRow computers range in value from around £1,000 to £10,000 ($1,700 to $17,000). The SavRow Diamond starts from a price of £5,000 and can be configured in excess of £20,000 ($8,500 to $34,000).
