Heidelberg Instruments, GmbH, Installs a DWL66 Maskless Lithography System at the Centre Spatial de Liege, Belgium Heidelberg Instruments, GmbH, Heidelberg, Germany, announced the installation of a DWL66 maskless lithography system at Centre Spatial de Liege, located in Liege, Belgium. Heidelberg, Germany (PRWEB) October 22, 2005 -- Heidelberg Instruments, GmbH, Heidelberg, Germany, announced the installation of a DWL66 maskless lithography system at Centre Spatial de Liege, located in Liege, Belgium.
"Our new Heidelberg DWL66 system will be used for fabricating masks for a Laser-LIGA process operated in partnership with Technifutur, one of the major technical learning centers in our country. The aim of this collaboration is to propose and to implement new value-added microfabrication solutions into the local industries of the region. In combination with our existing microfabrication and metrology facilities, this new equipment will allow us to get in flexibility for investigating various domains of interest such as micro-fluidics, surface treatment, and diffractive and micro-optics for space and terrestrial applications,” said Mr. Denis Vandormael, researcher at CSL’s microfabrication department
“We look forward to support CSL’s microfabrication department with their applications using our field proven DWL66 laser lithography system,” stated Alexander Forozan, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Heidelberg Instruments, GmbH.
About the Centre Spatial de Liege, CSL: CSL is a 100-people staff research center of the University of Liege, in Belgium. Through its scientific activities, CSL has accumulated competencies in various high-tech domains, and regularly set them to the disposal of the industry. Beside its main space payload-testing activity, CSL is also performing R&D in domains such as surface treatment, optics, microfabrication, and instrumentation for space and terrestrial applications. CSL activities are international by nature due to its collaborations with ESA and NASA, and with most of the space industries and laboratories in the world. But CSL contributes also to the renewal of the local industrial activity through spin-off development and strong partnerships with local companies and learning centers, such as Technifutur.
About Heidelberg Instruments, GmbH: With an installation base in over 20 countries, Heidelberg Instruments is a world leader in production of high precision maskless lithography systems capable of exposing substrates up to 2.4 meter by 1.9 meter. These systems are used for direct writing and photomask production, in the areas of MEMS, BioMEMS, Nano Technology, ASICS, TFT, Plasma Displays, Micro Optics, and many other exciting applications.
