(PRWEB) October 25, 2005 -- Jason Connery (www.jasonconnery.com) will play the lead in “Stan Lee’s LightSpeed,” an original film for the SCI FI Channel. The film is based on a new character created by Stan Lee and is directed by Don Fauntleroy. Jeff Franklin is executive producer. The film also stars Lee Majors, Nicole Eggert and Daniel Goddard. Production has just wrapped in Utah.
Connery plays Daniel Leight, a government agent who discovers he has super powers after his legs are crushed in a building collapse and he is exposed to a near lethal dose of radiation. Leight continues to pursue his nemesis –- Python, but now with the abilities of a superhero. Given the moniker LightSpeed, Daniel can now run at the speed of light. This ability, however, weakens Daniel’s heart, causing him to need special injections of liquid adrenaline at the most inopportune times.
About Jason Connery: Jason Connery is repped by Matt Shapira / David Shapira & Associates and managed by Ricki G. Maslar for Unconditional Entertainment. Connery recently wrapped the lead in “Night Skies” - a UFO thriller based on actual events - due for release in 2006.
