ASTD Announces Rob Lauber is Chair of its 2010 Board of Directors

The American Society for Training & Development (ASTD) announces that Rob Lauber, vice president of Yum! University at Yum! Brands Inc.--the world's largest restaurant company in terms of system units with more than 36,000 KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, Long John Silver's, and A&W restaurants in more than 100 countries--has been named the chair of its 2010 board of directors.

The American Society for Training & Development (ASTD) announces that Rob Lauber, vice president of Yum! University at Yum! Brands Inc.--the world's largest restaurant company in terms of system units with more than 36,000 KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, Long John Silver's, and A&W restaurants in more than 100 countries--has been named the chair of its 2010 board of directors. Mr. Lauber joined the board in 2006 as a director and served as chair-elect of the board in 2009 after having also served for two years on ASTD's Public Policy Council. The board sets the Society's strategic direction and provides leadership to the profession and ASTD's members worldwide.

Mr. Lauber oversees the learning function and provides leadership to the learning strategies employed across the entire Yum! system. Prior to joining Yum! Brands Inc., Mr. Lauber was the Executive Director of Learning Services at Cingular Wireless (now AT&T), the largest provider of wireless voice and data services in the USA. Mr. Lauber is an award-winning learning professional, having been recognized for excellence by Training Magazine, CLO Magazine, and IPSI.
