Children’s Media Company Cominda Launches Mini Storyteller Contest Cominda, LLC launched today the first of its annual Mini Storyteller Contest to discover the most talented future writers among 3 and 4 year olds. San Jose, CA (PRWEB) October 28, 2005 -- Cominda, LLC, a children’s media company based in northern California, launched today the first of its annual Mini Storyteller Contest to discover the most talented future writers among 3 and 4 year olds.
The contest seeks stories within 250 words, constructed by 3 and 4 year olds, and recorded by their parents. The stories need to use any number of the 50+ animal characters from the scenes of The Alphabet Stories, a recent DVD release from Cominda, LLC.
“This contest celebrates the storytelling abilities many toddlers have, but often overlooked by others,” said Karen Jia, Cominda spokesperson. “And we have no doubt that some of these mini storytellers today will be the best writers tomorrow.”
The 10 first place winners will be showcased on Cominda’s web site, and each will receive 10 children’s books of their choice (subject to $100 total limit). There will be 100 second place winners who will each receive a T-shirt and Cominda’s next DVD release free.
A panel of experts including preschool teachers and local writers, will evaluate the submissions. The key criteria for evaluation are clarity and creativity of the plot, playful portrayal of the characters, and very importantly, does the story bring smiles to readers. All entries must be e-mailed to Cominda no later than January 6, 2006. Winners will be announced on February 10, 2006.
