(PRWEB) October 31, 2005 -- Patnor Publishing is pleased to announce that, at the request of teachers and parents, they have for immediate release a set of black line masters (worksheets) to accompany their special novels for reluctant readers, special education, ESL and adult literacy students. These worksheets are written for the students and in the same vocabulary that is used in the novels.

New Start Suspense Series

The New Start Suspense is a set of new books for those people in your life, young and older, who may experience difficulty reading. The series is called New Start Suspense Series and is written by Patricia Birtwistle, a retired Special Education Teacher/Consultant. The series is a set of six short suspense novels with high interest but low vocabulary (grades 2-3) and is targeted towards the reluctant reader, ESL, brain injured, learning disabled, those diagnosed with attention deficit disorder, and the adult literacy community. For some people, reading these novels will be the very first time in their lives that they've read a book cover to cover!

Resource Guide

The Resource Guide provides background information, discussion questions and a detailed word list. The word lists are particularly useful for teaching word groupings and spelling.

Worksheets (Black Line Masters)

Detailed worksheets are available for each chapter of each book. They become progressively more difficult.. They also challenge your student in a variety of ways ranging from multiple choice to comprehension written answers. Included are questions addressing main idea, inference, character study, cause and effect, sequencing and making predictions. They are written at the same reading level as the books. There are two pages of questions (and answers) for every chapter of each book.

The Patnor Publishing (http://www.patnorpublishing.com/) web site has been redesigned and special pricing packages are offered.
