Ringwood, UK (Vocus) October 15, 2009 Scotland's APUC (Advanced Procurement for Universities and Colleges) Limited has selected the Ingram companies Coutts and MyiLibrary together as one of three suppliers in their first framework agreement for the supply of e-books. "The technology which MyiLibrary offers will contribute to increased efficiency in staff activities for the acquisition, organization and maintenance of key library content, and will help us address space issues," stated Alison Redpath, Edinburgh Napier University. "Our key aim of supporting learning and teaching will be greatly enhanced by 24/7 simultaneous access and enhanced functionality for our users." With 200,000 e-book records on offer, MyiLibrary is the most comprehensive e-book base currently available. The market-leading platform can also boast leading-edge functionality such as a dedicated statistics site, Open URL link resolving and WAYFless URL compatibility. MyiLibrary will announce the introduction of an upgraded e-book viewer in 2010. "APUC's award ensures that MyiLibrary remains the leading UK e-book platform," said Jason Beech, Coutts' UK Sales & Marketing Director.
