HACKENSACK, New Jersey (PRWEB) November 5, 2005 -- Progenitor Cell Therapy, LLC (PCT), a leading full service cell therapy development and contract manufacturing company, announced today that it has started construction on the next expansion phase of its cGMP/cGTP cell therapy manufacturing facility in Mountain View, California.

“We are quickly moving forward with this project and expect to complete construction in December 2005. With this timeline, we anticipate having the clean rooms qualified for cGMP manufacturing operations in the early part of 2006. In addition, we are in the design phase for further expansion of clean room manufacturing capacity in the first half of 2006,” said Stewart Craig Ph.D., PCT’s Chief Technology Officer and Vice President.

PCT is experiencing increased activity in all of its services lines, with particular emphasis on its pre-clinical trial, clinical trial, and product development offerings. In this phase of expansion, approximately 3,000 ft2 of Class 10,000 clean room and support areas will be constructed to support the increasing contract manufacturing needs of PCT’s existing clients, as well as its growing base of new clients. With two locations within the United States, PCT is also planning to expand its east coast facility, located in Hackensack, New Jersey.
