Pure Terror Goes Nation Wide

Cinema Lexzikon signs distribution deal with Troma Entertainment.

Cinema Lexzikon, a minority owned film company headquartered in Columbus, Ohio has announced that it and its partner, West Bridge Entertainment, have entered into an agreement with Troma Entertainment for domestic distribution of the post 9/11 movie: Pure Terror.

“It’s like a dream come true,” says William Lee, president of Cinema Lexzikon and the films’s director. “So many people told me that the movie couldn’t be done, and that I was crazy for trying. Getting a deal with a top grade distributor like Troma Entertainment let’s me know that those critics were wrong and I was right in pursuing this project.”

The story of a post 9/11 society that is obsessed with security, Pure Terror invokes images from other futuristic movies such as 1984. That is precisely what the director wanted. “I don’t care what side of the issue you are on,” says Lee. “Things changed when the Trade Towers came down, and we have to deal with basic issues of civil freedoms and the need for security. I hope this movie gets people to discuss maturely what the needs and consequences are of living safe in a world of terror.”

Mr. Lee is quick to give credit to West Bridge Entertainment for landing the contract. “We couldn’t have done this without the business savvy of Robert Foreman and James Vallo (Founders of West Bridge Entertainment). Their knowledge of the industry has allowed us to avoid some common pitfalls and get this deal. We are fortunate to be working with them and their company.”

While thrilled with the success of his movie, William Lee is not resting on his laurels. “This isn’t the last flick you’ll see from us,” Lee says with a wink. “Cinema Lexzikon just finished the post production on our latest film and we are in pre-production stages of a new one. You’ll be seeing a lot of us in the months to come.”
