Barcley TV Broadcast Airs “Feng Shui, Demystified!” Nov. 10 & 17, Channel 57, Manhattan

Interior Designer and Feng Shui practitioner offers practical tips on how to enhance your home and work environments to relax More easily, work more effectively, and improve relationships with family and colleagues. This two-part segment airs on Channel 57 in Manhattan at 10:30 am ET, Nov. 10 & Nov. 17.

New York City (PRWEB) November 7, 2005 -- What does a cluttered, messy office or a bright, well-lit room tell us about someone’s state of mind? According to Feng Shui expert Melissa Cook, “It tells us a great deal.” Living by the principle that “our environments are mirrors of ourselves,” Ms. Cook uses Feng Shui to help clients create surroundings that integrate their inner and outer worlds in such a way that promote their emotional, spiritual, and physical well-being. Simply defined, Feng Shui (pronounced fung shway) is the ancient Chinese art of arranging our environments to enhance the quality of our lives.

Cook will be the featured guest on the Barcley TV Broadcast in a two-part series on Feng Shui that shows how this ancient discipline is being re-interpreted by Western practitioners to reflect the values and lifestyle of Americans. The program will air on two consecutive Thursdays, November 10 and November 17 at 10:30 a.m. on Channel 57 in Manhattan.

Ms. Cook, owner of Inner Vision Feng Shui, emphasizes that Feng Shui “should be as accessible as it is transforming.” To this end, she provides practical, easy-to-follow examples for creating homes and offices that, in her words, “sing with positive, uplifting energy.” For example, she urges office workers to always position their desks and chairs that allow them to have a view of the door. She calls this the “command position” for obvious reasons: You’re less likely to be startled or distracted when people enter your space because you see them coming. This position also signifies that you are open to new ideas.

TV host Barcley Spaugh comments, “My time with Melissa was so enjoyable and informative that our episode together has become our promotion for the show.” Spaugh adds that Barcley Productions’ mission is to help people take control of their lives by giving them the tools, inspiration, and information they need to do so. In his words, “My broadcasts have a take-no-prisoners approach to help people get behind the wheels of their own lives.” Barcley is produced by BCAT/ Brooklyn Community Access Television.
