Orion Health™ Rhapsody User Group 2009, Boston Starts Today New Interoperability Expo Helps Ignite Record Attendance

Orion Health kicked-off its annual North American East Coast Rhapsody User Group in Boston, at The Liberty Hotel today, which for the first time includes an Interoperability Expo featuring several Orion Health’s vendor partners showcasing how they utilize Rhapsody to connect and exchange data with other applications.

Orion Health, a leading provider of clinical workflow and integration technology for the healthcare sector, kicked-off its annual North American East Coast Rhapsody User Group in Boston, at The Liberty Hotel today. The Rhapsody Integration Engine is a top-rated data integration solution that was recently tested showing the ability to process over 1.3 million HL7 messages per hour.

For the first time ever, attendees at this year’s user group will have the opportunity to use Rhapsody to interface directly with other vendor systems, at the Orion Health Interoperability Expo, showing Rhapsody’s ease of use and interoperability. Partners participating in the expo include Hill-Rom, Hospira, CSC, Intranexus and Xwave, among others.

As always, the Rhapsody User Group attracts various users from all over North America to share best practices, understand the latest product updates and attend new training sessions. Including presentations from not only Orion Health Executives, but also from fellow Rhapsody users.

This year’s East Cost User Group includes two new sessions:

•     Rhapsody Advanced Database Connectivity covering common scenarios encountered when connecting to a database from Rhapsody. The available Rhapsody features and database components will be presented as well as best practices and common problems.
•     Interoperability Expo which will feature several of Orion Health’s vendor partners showcasing how they utilize Rhapsody to connect and exchange data with other applications. In addition, users will be given an advanced preview of the upcoming Rhapsody 3.4 release and an opportunity to try out some of the new features.

Also attending are Orion Health employees from global headquarters in New Zealand, who’ll be meeting with North American customers and presenting innovative solution scenarios and best practices from sites around the world.
