Ex High Street Bank Manager Shows Budding Property Investors The Ropes In New Book Up until May 2004 Peter Stanley, from Manchester, was a corporate manager for one of the big four high street banks. He's now a successful property investor and has written his first book. (PRWEB) November 11, 2005 -- Up until May 2004 Peter Stanley, from Manchester, was a corporate manager for one of the big four high street banks. He'd worked with this company for 14 years.
But, like many seemingly successful career people, deep inside he craved the freedom to be his own boss and do what he loved away from the corporate treadmill.
So, in his spare time he began building his own rental property portfolio and, given the success he achieved working just a few hours a week, he was quickly able to jump ship and become a full time property investor.
Spurred on by his own success and realising many other people were also sick of working every hour to make other people rich, Peter set out to educate budding property investors with his own "Property Made Simple" workshops and programmes which have received wide acclaim from participants.
His first book, by the same name, is written for "absoulte beginners" giving readers the skills, confidence and know-how to get on the property investing ladder so they can sack their boss, and work the hours they like, too.
Peter says, "We've all watched the TV property programmes and thought that it looks easier than going to the office every day. And we all know at least one person who made his money in property and retired to Spain. But many of us never even try it ourselves because we have that nagging doubt at the back of our minds... 'Surely, if it's so easy, everyone would be doing it?'
He continues, "Well even if it's not easy it can be simple which is why I decided to write this honest, plain english, little book that I wish I'd had when I was starting out."
The eBook launches this week (exclusively at www.bookshaker.com) and the paperback edition will be available at Amazon and all good bookshops early in 2006.

Peter Stanley Peter recently resigned from his job with a high street bank where he rose to the level of corporate bank manager over the 14 years he was there. He previously worked for another bank, but left after 3 years as things weren't happening quickly enough. Despite a number of job opportunities in other cities and countries, Peter has remained in his home town of Manchester.
Over the last 5 years, Peter has researched property investment, having seen a number of colleagues and customers make money from property and after much deliberation and procrastination, decided to take the plunge and make his first foray into the "buy to let market" Since then he has bought further properties in South Manchester and is looking to expand his portfolio rapidly since his departure from the nine to five.
His experience of property renovation started with his first house, bought in 1995, because he wanted to live in a nicer area than he could afford. He bought a house at a good discount due to the work needed. If he had known then, what he knows now, he would probably have passed on the opportunity. Discounting the usual bathroom and kitchen kind of jobs, he reroofed the house, replaced the ground floor joists and floorboards, re-installed the cast iron fireplaces, rewired, demolished and rebuilt walls, removed lead piping, so that the only thing that remained the same was the house number!
In his spare time, he likes to play pinball, throw boomerangs, although it's usually a stick, fly kites, play scalextric and anything to do with cars - probably to prove that growing older doesn't mean growing up. His wife has joked that he could talk about cars all day if given the opportunity.
