The most accurate gauge of public opinion in any sporting event is the sports betting market. By tracking the “number of bets” and “percentage of bets” placed on every match, SportsInsights.com shows readers which teams the public is favoring.

All wagering statistics come directly from the lineboards of six independent online sportsbooks, and represent actual bets placed. We invite the sports media to take advantage of these unique statistics for use in stories, or a sidebar graphic.

NFL WEEK 9 Recap

NFL Week 9 was a blood bath for the sports betting industry. There were some bad scores for the sportsbooks: four games landed on the spread, which spelled disaster; every “Teaser” hit. The sportsbook we spoke with said it was the worst day of payouts this season. The “can’t miss” Colts steam rolling the Patriot on Monday Night Football just added more salt to the wound.

NFL WEEK 10 Preview

Look for handle size to increase in NFL Week 10, as most bettor accounts are fat with winnings. There is lots of early public money chasing favorites Carolina, Denver, KC and New England. We anticipate Carolina and Denver to be the biggest games of the weekend.
