EZ-FLO Introduces New High Capacity Line of Automatic Fertilizing Systems for Large Landscapes

EZ-FLO Fertilizng Systems introduces three new high-capacity models of its automatic fertilizer dispensing systems to service larger landscapes. These units are also targeted to nurseries and specialty growers who want an alternative to complicated fertilizer injectors or pump systems.

Sewickley, PA (PRWEB) November 16, 2005 -- EZ-FLO Fertilizing Systems announced the introduction of three new models of high capacity, fertilizer proportioning systems at the 2005 Irrigation Association trade show complementing its already successful line of precision, proportioning systems. The new system sizes, along with the company’s four smaller sizes (1.5, 2.5, 4.25 and 9.4 gallon units) are unique in that they can “micro-dose” concentrated fertilizers and supplements at levels that are optimum for plant health. The introduction of these new sizes means that EZ-FLO can now service virtually all sizes of landscapes from residential to municipal.

The new high capacity systems are filled with 75 to 300 pounds of concentrated water soluble fertilizers and are available in 3 tank sizes; a 10 gallon, 20 gallon and 30 gallon model. With its unique fill port options, tanks can be packed with significantly higher concentrations of fertilizer than can be achieved by using liquid fertilizers. EZ-FLO technology allows fertilizers and supplements to be fed constantly to plants in proportions down to 15,000 to one or 1/20 of a teaspoon of fertilizer to a gallon of water to adjust for this greater concentration level. EZ-FLO achieves micro-dosing through the use of patented flow technologies that do not require moving parts that wear out or require ongoing maintenance. In addition, most other fertilizer injectors have proportioning rates that are much higher requiring significantly larger storage tanks to service the same size landscapes.

According to Tom Patton, President and CEO, “With the introduction of these larger capacity models, EZ-FLO fills a void in the market for the larger commercial, school and municipal property that has not been anxious to install complicated mechanical or electronic injection pump systems. These other systems often need higher capacity and expensive, above-ground holding tanks since they work only with diluted liquid fertilizers and supplements. In addition, pumps and injectors are generally more costly to operate and maintain. They have not been adopted widely since landscape owners are looking for solutions that show a quick payback. EZ-FLO provides a reliable way to harness the power of the landscape’s irrigation system to deliver fertilizer without the need for expensive distribution and maintenance labor. Fertigation will ultimately replace conventional forms of broadcast fertilizing because of cost and environmental concerns”

Documented research and university studies over the last decade consistently show that micro-dosing of fertilizers and supplements allows for increased plant health while reducing the overall water needed as compared to other methods of fertilization. Whether a landscape is watered through spray, drip or subsurface irrigation, fertigation is one of the most affordable ways to fertilize a landscape while at the same time reducing water usage.

About EZ-FLO Fertilizing Systems

EZ FLO Fertilizing Systems is a world leader in automatic fertilizer dispensing systems for residential and commercial properties. With its patented fluid flow technologies, EZ-FLO’s products can precisely deliver non-hazardous water soluble or liquid fertilizers through a hose, sprinkler or drip system using micro-dosing, a technique that provides plants the needed nutrients, every time you water. Having no moving parts, EZ-FLO systems are dependable and reliable so users can install them with confidence. The combination of fertilizing while irrigating (called fertigation) provides plants with essential nutrients through both the plant’s leaves, as well as roots. Since most of the fertilizer gets directly into the plants as it is applied, the fertilizer needed drops by 70-90%. As a result, fertilizer run-off is virtually eliminated. Water usage can also be reduced on average by 25-50% since the plant’s root mass becomes more robust and can hold and use available water more efficiently The combination of reduced water usage and less fertilizer runoff means that EZ-FLO customers “Fertilize Responsibly™”.
