Her paycheck now is between $3500 and $5000. (PRWEB) November 17, 2005 -- A 10-year veteran of Noevir, Janice Markley promoted two new directors last month to qualify for an exclusive free New York City trip, earning the distinction of becoming Noevir's newest Executive Director. This vivacious resident of Clever, Missouri shares her inspiring story of success. When Janice started with the Company, she shares that her first paycheck was $71.60 for a month's work. Her paycheck now is between $3500 and $5000.
Please share a little about your background and what you were doing before Noevir came along.
While raising a teenage daughter, I survived a divorce and was working full time as an executive secretary at Western Electric when I began attending night school. After earning my degree in Instructional Technology (with a 3.85 GPA), I decided it was time to move up to a training position, so I wrote a letter to the president of the company to get consideration for the job I wanted. Later, when cheaper imports drove Western Electric and similar Silicon Valley companies under, I consulted my network of friends to secure a position with AT&T as a lead instructor. Even as a kid, I was always driven to go after what I wanted. As a result, I became great at teaching people, but only at the expense of 30 years of corporate politics. I welcomed retirement with a sigh of relief!
So Noevir was an unexpected second career for you. What was it that first attracted you to Noevir?
The difference I saw in my skin. When my longtime aesthetician initially recommended Noevir, I was impressed by the ISO certifications but not interested in selling. I had other priorities in my retirement—community volunteer work, tending to my bluebird trail, etc. Before long, however, others began to notice my skin. With a product I believed in, it became my mission to help people.
As the top sponsor in the company for 7 consecutive years, you’re obviously doing something right. How do you approach your prospects?
It depends on the situation, but I always make sure I’m prepared. I carry Trial Packs wherever I go so I can perform hand demos at any given opportunity. My prospects will either place an order or schedule a Hostess Show. Then, I give them a new Trial Pack to hold them over until the Hostess Show, or until they receive their order. That way, their skin won’t forget about Noevir in the meantime.
Over the past several years, you’ve built a strong web presence. How important has this been to growing your business?
In the early days of the internet, it was a great lead generator, producing up to 300 daily. Now that number has dwindled to about 5 quality leads per week, but it’s still a viable resource for my business. The idea is, you can’t pursue just one isolated aspect of your business and expect success to happen. Problems may arise, and if you haven’t worked any other avenues of your business, it will be completely at the mercy of that downed internet server, or whatever. I live in a rural area, so I make an extra effort to put my business out there. In addition to my web presence, I run a booth through my local chamber of commerce, am involved with three local business networking groups, and I personally talk to over 100 people a month. I generally average ten or more sponsored consultants during any given month. I hold Hostess Shows with Retail clients and average $1000 in retail sales monthly.
With Japan Leadership Training 2006 as a current goal, you’ve already risen above the rest of the field to amass the highest number of points toward qualifying, and you have two downline directors working toward qualification. How do you keep them motivated?
I believe in the power of encouragement, support and recognition. After 30 years in the corporate rat race, that was what struck me most about the Noevir opportunity. “Your Success is Our Business” isn’t just talk—Noevir actually cares about you, rewards good work, and gives credit where it’s due. The personal touch you get with the staff is unheard of in most companies. That’s what I try to reinforce in my downline. I call, send an e-mail or a postcard to show my support and to recognize their achievements. I encourage them to lead by example. It’s vitally important to be involved in company events, business training and National Convention, because you can’t learn everything by yourself, and why should you? Noevir provides all the resources and training you need to succeed.
What’s your next goal in your Noevir business?
I hope to continue growing as a leader, becoming more skilled as a role model. It’s not just about me—I want my people to develop the same vision as I, understanding the business and taking part in every training opportunity. And along the way, I wouldn’t mind being blessed with Diamond Director.
What advice would you offer consultants who want to follow in your footsteps?
First, have confidence in the quality of the product, because Noevir is the best. And, don’t give up: be tenacious and think outside the box. As a consultant, you must add value to the experience for a prospect or customer so they’ll have a reason to seek this wonderful product from you, instead of somewhere else!
