The expansion means the site has to widen the scope of contractors within its roster as it receives a steady stream of project requests from homeowners. “The demand, along with our thorough screening process is why we’ve doubled our sales team in just two months,” said Charles Greaves, Director of Sales.

The site, found at http://www.BestContractors.com, is free to homeowners who can go online and build their project, then review profiles of matching contractors. Homeowners are able to do comparative analyses of contractors and request bids from them. Contractors support the site with membership fees and must meet strict eligibility requirements.

“We’re different from other matching services” said Henninger, “because we screen both homeowners and contractors and provide process management tools to make the interaction between both parties more efficient.” Other contractor matching services, he explained, only make the initial match.
