Hollis Thomas Presents $10,000 to Asthma & Allergy Foundation of America, Southeast Pennsylvania Chapter at Holiday Mixer & Charity Fundraiser

Eagles'Hollis Thomas donates a highly anticipated $10,000 to the Asthma & Allergy Foundation of America and introduces the Hollis Thomas Foundation to the City of Philadelphia at Holiday Mixer & Charity Fundraiser

Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) November 20, 2005 -- From ’96 to now, Eagles defensive tackle Hollis Thomas has gone from the unheralded player who stepped on the turf from a small Division I-A program to the player who prides himself on his determination to be a leader on and off the field, hence founding the Hollis Thomas Foundation. Since the organization's inception in 2001, Thomas has exuded such characteristics by tirelessly contributing to programs and events that support the personal and social development of many “at risk” youth ages 7-17, St. Louis, Missouri and most recently the City of Philadelphia.

Trailblazing the industry as philanthropist and community leader, Thomas is pleased to announce that he will be hosting “Under the Mistletoe”…a holiday mixer and charity fundraiser benefiting the Asthma & Allergy Foundation of America, Southeast Pennsylvania Chapter and the Hollis Thomas Foundation Friday, December 9th, at Anjou Restaurant & Lounge, located at 206 Market Street in Philadelphia’s Old City District.

The evening begins at 8:00 p.m. with a champagne reception and silent auction, then continues with Thomas making a highly anticipated presentation of $10,000 to the AAFA-SEPA, for his role in raising awareness about the cause, a disease which he suffers from. So for those who dare to indulge in an atmosphere carefully created to enhance your palate with holiday cheer, donations are $75 and there are table reservations available with bottle service. Donations are tax deductible.

Invited guests to include Philadelphia’s own Mayor John F. Street, (Congressman) Chaka Fattah, Donna Reed-Miller, Marian B. Tasco, W. Wilson Goode, Jr. and Frank Rizzo (City Council Member’s), State Representatives Rosita Youngblood and Louise Williams-Bishop, Philadelphia Eagles’ Jon Runyan, Dhani Jones, Jevon Kearse, and David Akers, Philadelphia 76ers’ Allen Iverson, Chris Webber and Andre’ Iguodala and Philadelphia Flyers’ Peter Forsberg and Donald Brashear to name a few.

Sponsors include Moet-Hennessy, The Absolut Spirit Company, The Philadelphia Inquirer and PhillyNews.com. For additional information or for table reservations, contact La Tanya R. Walker at 832.668.9193 or via email.
