Terry Hayes, Noted Illustrator, Launches Website San Diego, CA, November 9, 2005

Terry Hayes, Illustrator and Author, launches new website at terryhayes.org.

(PRWEB) November 23, 2005 -- Terry Hayes, like other artists, paints what he knows. In this case, it’s all about exploring the world and flight. Hayes has used his vast experience as a pilot to paint illustrative works for NASA, the United States Air Force, and the San Diego Aerospace Museum to name a few. In recognition of his new series, Landmarks of the World, Mr. Hayes has launched a website www.terryhayes.org.

The website is dedicated to showing examples of Hayes’ work from different periods. Early works for NASA and private commissions are shown in conjunction with a new advertising campaign featuring forty paintings of the famous landmarks of the world. Some of the images in the series include: the Statue of Liberty, Niagara Falls, the Eiffel Tower, Macchu Pichu, Altamira Cave Art, Stonehenge and the Goodyear Blimp. Yes, that is a landmark too.

About Terry Hayes, Artist, Author and Pilot:

Hayes got his start in commercial art in a large department store, Maison Blanche, in New Orleans. In his spare time, he painted action scenes from World War I aviation, researching particular paint jobs and serial numbers, everything for authenticity in the works. The Boeing Company showed up in New Orleans to start the Apollo Project, sending a man to the moon and return. Their appearance coincided with a show of Hayes' paintings. They called him for an interview and hired him on the spot. For the next two ½ years he illustrated Apollo rockets for the NASA program.

Hayes has also written a book entitled, Make It Look Easy. It is a fictionalized account of his flying in the Big War and his crop dusting work.
