Lodi Metals Takes Ratchet Straps Global with New Site Lodi Metals launches Web site and online shopping for custom cargo bars and other shipping equipment; doubles sales in six months Bellville, Ohio (Vocus) November 3, 2009 After a few months in testing, Lodi Metals, a custom shipping equipment company, officially launches its Web site following strong online growth. "Our sales have probably doubled in the last six months," said Mike Creighton, CEO of Lodi Metals. "We’re a young company, and the success we’re having is exciting." From ratchet straps, tie down straps and tow straps to moving blankets and load bars, Lodi Metals offers almost anything for people involved in shipping goods, produce and miscellaneous equipment. And, more importantly, the company can custom make any of those items to fit a clients’ needs, and customers can shop and purchase products online. "We can make and produce a lot of the hard to find items – load bars, straps, things of that nature," Creighton said. "We can manufacture products with any kind of hardware, and any length. We are able to manufacture, weld, sew, cut or drill. We can make anything as long as the customer really knows what they want. We specialize in making exactly what they need." The company was started in 1993. In 2005, the push for an online presence started. Lodi Metals was consistently successful, but the Web site has enabled the company to reach a larger audience than what it had in its beginning days. "Many people may not know that a service like ours exists," Creighton said. "With the new site and more of a focus on Internet marketing, we’ve been getting a lot of clicks on Google. A lot more potential customers have been able to find us when they might not have been able to otherwise." The business is now reaching a broader demographic that can purchase these products online.
