Parsippany NJ- (January 8, 2002) Setfocus announces .NET Masters Program
SetFocus, a Technology Training Center, specializing in the education of developers in JAVA and Visual Basic, has just announced a new curriculum to replace their intensive Visual Basic Masters Program. This transition to the .NET platform coincides with Microsofts release of Visual Studio.NET. .NET is Microsoft's platform for XML Web services. XML Web services allow applications to communicate and share data over the Internet, regardless of operating system or programming language.
Mike Landau, President & CEO, says Microsofts introduction of .NET is a major transforming event. Nearly every aspect of Microsoft technology is affected by this new architecture. Given the substantial nature of this change, SetFocus has developed a new Masters Program track to help developers get up to speed as quickly and efficiently as possible"
The focus of the new curriculum will be on Microsoft .NET Framework using VB.NET. This new version of the popular Visual Basic® programming language combines object-oriented features and implementation with full access to all .NET platform features.
In addition, Setfocus will teach developers to build data-centric applications and Web Services with ADO.NET, SQL Server 2000 and the Microsoft .NET Framework. The 13 weeks also covers ASP.NET that allows developers to create Web forms with server controls using Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), client-side and server-side scripting, and Microsoft ADO.NET class libraries.
The training at Setfocus challenges all, and is believed by many industry experts to be the most in-depth, intense, integrated and comprehensive training solution available in the marketplace today. All Masters Program participants are required to pass an extensive technical exam and interviews to assure they possess the abilities to complete the 13 weeks of knowledge transfer they are presented with. SetFocus receives from 1500-2000 applications to the program each quarter and selects no more than 20 individuals per track.
Both the Java and .NET curriculums are designed to challenge every student. Intense lectures combined with in depth lab exercises focus on n-tier applications with special emphasis on web development.
The start date of the next session is April 1, 2002. SetFocus runs sessions on a quarterly basis. To find out more about the Masters Program visit www.setfocus.com or call 973-889-0211.
