18 Year Old Teenager Becomes Angel" Investor To His Mom and Her Partner For Their Doll Company

Most entrepreneurs are wishing that an Angel would be sent from Heaven to help them fund their new business. That was the case for Audrey Bell and Georgette Taylor who are co-owners of Big Beautiful Dolls, Inc. Just like most entrepreneurs, they started their company based on Bells insight that there were no Plus-size Fashion dolls out there to represent 62% of the women who are size 14 and up and Taylors passion as a doll collector.

Bell and Taylor knew that they were on to something, so they went to work developing their business plan. The next thing that they had to do was get prototypes of the dolls done. Thanks to a few good friends and family members, they were able to get some start-up capital to get the prototypes produced. They got the prototypes produced and they were so proud. One of the dolls is African American, another is Caucasian and the other is Hispanic. They set up a website with anticipation that they would get enough sells to manufacture the dolls. How wrong they were. They searched many different manufacturers and found that they needed at least $100,000. For two years they searched high and low trying to find capital, but to no avail.

At the time that they began the business, Bells daughter was 8 years old and Taylor two sons were 6 and 16. The never imagined that Taylors 16 year son Adam would be the one to come along and help them get the business of the ground. When Adam turned 18, he received a trust fund that was left for him by his father who died when he was 6 years old. Knowing how his mom Georgette and her partner Audrey had been struggling trying to find the money that they needed for the business, he became the Angel that they had been searching for. Adam invested the necessary money in Big Beautiful Dolls, Inc. The dolls are now manufactured and are due to arrive in the USA on January 25, 2002.

It took two years for them to get the business up and running and thanks to Adam, the Angel under their wings Dasia, Dena & Dawn, the Big Beautiful Dolls will be on the market soon.
