Western Graphics Inc, Ukrainian producer of PocketBook™ e-book readers appointed its official partner in the United States: Brain Plaza International, a New York based company, specializing in marketing East European brands, will be importing and distributing PocketBook™ in the US.

PocketBook 301+ is a classic e-reader with 6” Vizplex display, 512 Mb of internal memory, expandable to 32 Gbs with SD memory cards. It runs on Linux and supports practically all existing e-book formats (including epub, fb2 and prc) plus mp-3 music playback. Price at company’s website: $275.

PocketBook 360°, a new PB model, features 5” display with G-sensor, allowing automatic orientation of pages in portrait or landscape mode. PB360 comes in black and ivory colors and has most interesting design with hard protective cover that no other readers can boast with. It will set you back $239.99.

Both PocketBook™ models have unique firmware, allowing great degree of customization and entertainment: games, themes, news, notes and dictionaries.

PocketBooks’ support of all languages and text encodings from the box (including right to left, characters, Cyrillic, etc) could be very appealing for non-only-English readers in such linguistically diverse market as the USA.
