‘Virtual’ Spa Provides 10-minute ‘Sanity Break’ for Holidays

In the time it takes to drive a half-mile in congested traffic or multi-task while on the phone, you could lower your stress level, all from the comfort of your computer! That’s the goal behind the creation of Sacred Home Spa™, an online spa created by Bonnie Snyder, a Certified Life Balance Coach.

Altamonte Springs, FL (PRWEB) December 13, 2005 -- In the time it takes to drive a half-mile in congested traffic or multi-task while on the phone, you could lower your stress level, all from the comfort of your computer! That’s the goal behind the creation of Sacred Home Spa™, an online spa created by Bonnie Snyder, a Certified Life Balance Coach.

“The holidays can be one of the worst times of the year for stress,” says Snyder, who’s been in counseling and coaching for more than 16 years. “Many times we can’t take an hour to unwind, but a 10-minute break is manageable.” Because people spend so much time on their computers, Snyder decided to help them wind down online.

Snyder’s Web site, www.SacredHomeSpa.com, offers visitors the option of entering several ‘treatment rooms’ including Yoga, Massage, Spa Bath, Meditation and a Labyrinth. Each room features a taped message to give visitors the ‘virtual’ experience of being in a spa.

According to Snyder, there’s a growing body of research that indicates that being quiet, meditating and clearing your mind for 10 to 20 minutes a day will help lower stress hormones, maintain emotional balance and improve health.

Snyder says visitors to the spa and clients have been amazed at how little time it takes to relax and clear their heads.

The virtual spa is currently free, but will be available by subscription in 2006. Snyder will kick off the expanded spa for the Chinese New Year, adding additional products including an ebook, downloadable meditations, teleclasses and a blog.
