Foxboro, MA (PRWEB) November 18, 2009

Quick Hit, Inc. (“Quick Hit”), a leading developer and publisher of premium, free-to-play online sports games, today announced that four new legendary coaches will be featured in Quick Hit Football™. Herm Edwards, Jerry Glanville, Marv Levy and Marty Schottenheimer will all coach teams in the next game update, expected to be available next month.

“Our users tell us they love testing their football skills against the true style of real coaches. We’re all about coaching and strategy, and these four new coaches will bring even more authenticity to the single player experience,” said Jeffrey Anderson, CEO at Quick Hit. “We’ve worked hard to weave both coaches and players into the fabric of the game, which has created a unique and exciting experience for football fans who want to face off against former gridiron greats.”

The new coaches joining Cowher, Billick, Johnson, Landry and Reeves are:

  •     Herm Edwards – both a player and a coach in the league, Edwards spent 10 seasons as a stand-out cornerback and seven seasons as head coach of the New York Jets and Kansas City Chiefs. He helped lead the Jets to a first place finish in the AFC East in his second year and made the playoffs three times in five years during his New York tenure.
  •     Jerry Glanville – a coach for the NFC and the AFC, Glanville brought a distinctive style and unique personality to coaching. While a defensive coordinator in Atlanta, he was responsible for the team’s dogged defense, nicknamed the “Grits Blitz.” As Houston’s head coach, he was famous for turning the Astrodome into the “House of Pain,” leading the team to the playoffs for three consecutive years.
  •     Marv Levy – the only NFL coach to win four straight conference championships, Levy spent 17 years as a head coach in the league. He was one of only 14 coaches to win 100 games with one team and the only coach to compete in four consecutive Super Bowls, while head coach of Buffalo. Levy was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in his very first year of eligibility and ranked 10th all-time among NFL coaches with a 154-120 record.
  •     Marty Schottenheimer – one of only five NFL coaches to lead three different teams to the playoffs, Schottenheimer spent 21 seasons as an NFL coach. He was named “NFL Coach of the Year” by the Associated Press, Pro Football Weekly, Sports Illustrated and many more after leading San Diego to one of the greatest turnarounds in league history. He coached in more than a dozen post-season playoff games and is one of only seven coaches with more than 200 career wins.
