Local Career Fairs Give High School Students Look at the Future

VCAD showcases art and design programs for those interested in creative careers.

Vancouver, BC (Vocus) November 19, 2009

High school seniors from across the province are getting ready to head to college next year, but for many, the final decision hasn’t been made. Career fairs, like those being held over the next several months help students choose the post-secondary institution that best suits them and their future goals. For those looking to turn their creative passions into a career, the art and design programs at VCAD are often a perfect match.

VCAD representatives will be on hand at the Fraser Valley Education & Career Fair in Abbotsford on December 1, 2009; the Vancouver Island Education & Career Fair in Nanaimo on December 3, 2009; the Vancouver Education & Career Fair in Vancouver on January 12, 2010 and the Okanagan Education & Career Fair in Kelowna on January 14, 2010.

Career fair attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the programs offered at VCAD, as well as the $150,000 in scholarships that will be awarded to 2010 grads. Interested applicants can receive more information about the scholarships at scholarshipinfo.vcad.ca.
