The Recording Academy and the Entertainment Industry Foundation (EIF) presents musical event Grammy Jam. The Grammy Jam celebrated the music of 22-time Grammy Award-winning artist Stevie Wonder. The event, was presented by Mercedes-Benz USA, and took place Dec. 10 at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles.

Eric Benét, George Benson, Josh Groban, Anthony Hamilton, Herbie Hancock, Heather Headley, Hootie & The Blowfish, India.Arie, James Ingram, Randy Jackson, Reggie Benjamin, Kerry Gordy, Tom Mesereau, Minnie Foxx and Stevie Wonder are among the dozens of musical guests that attended.

Reggie Benjamin the “First Indian Pop Artist in America,” must be making his country proud. It was literally jaw dropping when Pop Star Reggie Benjamin showed up and walked the Red Carpet with style, charisma and the biggest Industry Giants. Reggie Benjamin appeared at the event with Music Mogul Kerry Gordy, of Motown fame (Reggie’s Manager), friend and powerhouse Attorney Tom Mesereau, (Michael Jackson’s attorney, who was named the top 10 Most Fascinating People on the Barbara Walters Special), and Minnie Foxx, (a talented Actor, Model and Singer, who has appeared in a wide variety of Television, Film, Theatre, Radio, Print, Fashion and Entertainment Productions).

As I learn more about Reggie Benjamin and what he has accomplished, the story is truly amazing. He was the First Indian to chart on the Billboard charts, filmed his video at the famed Playboy Mansion, had 2 top 10 hits in a row, in more than 25 countries, was just named the #3 artist in Japan for the year 2005, played for a sold out All State Arena, performed the National Anthem at Dodgers stadium, (in the history of the LA Dodgers, never has an Indian performed there), and the list goes on and on and on, just like his career will I’m sure. Reggie also played at the Dallas Convention center and was 1 of 3 major acts. Reggie was first to perform, after a standing ovation, the other 2 acts came on and the crowd shouted and demanded for Reggie to get back on, the crowd made such a fuss that the MC of the evening had to come back out in front of the other 2 acts, and said “we will bring Reggie Back.” For more information on Reggie Benjamin visit his website http://www.reggiebenjamin.com
