WorkScapes at Newport Beach Invites Office-Park Tenants to Next, Free Go-Green Workshop Date Set for Wednesday, December 2 at Noon at 20371 Irvine Avenue, Suite A-170 Newport Beach, CA (Vocus) November 30, 2009 Hackman Capital Partners, LLC, a private real estate investment firm, announced today that WorkScapes at Newport Beach is offering tenants the second in a two-part educational workshop, which includes lunch, on December 2 at 12:00 PM. The workshop luncheon, free for tenants, will feature area environmental expert Cassie Walker of Three Elements Consulting, LLC. WorkScapes at Newport Beach is owned by an affiliate of Hackman Capital Partners and is managed on-site by PM Realty Group (PMRG), both of whom are sponsoring the workshop. Tenant education is part of a multi-faceted go-green campaign being implemented at the six-building, 84,000 square foot office park. The upcoming workshop will delve deeper into the environmental concepts introduced at the first workshop, held November 4, and will provide attendees with a concrete list of "how tos" in such key areas as energy and water use, recycling and e-cycling, indoor air quality and others. "The first workshop introduced the concepts and strategies of office greening; the second will provide the tactics, "said Cassie Walker, workshop presenter. "For many service companies, like the tenants at WorkScapes at Newport Beach, carbon emissions from energy use and transportation are an issue, so we'll discuss ways to cut back in those areas, along with ways to save money, too." In addition to running Three Elements Consulting, an organization that works with both traditional, non-profit and start-up companies to reduce the impact of business on the environment, Cassie Walker writes for Green Options Media, an environmental online network, and is the author of The Green Office Handbook, a practical guide and one-stop resource for workplaces looking to green their offices while cutting costs. Other environmental initiatives at WorkScapes at Newport Beach include green demolition, the use of green cleaning and paper supplies and a comprehensive recycling program that includes a free electronic waste collection program. The first e-cycling pickup is scheduled at the office park on Friday December 4 and is designed to help tenants dispose of unwanted electronic devices from work and home. MORE ABOUT CASSIE WALKER
