Lefty's Anti-War Clothing Continues To Break Barriers By Showcasing At Magic International Tradeshow

First Major Retailers Then Major Magazines, and Now Major Trade Shows…

LOS ANGELES, CA (PRWEB) January 2, 2006 -- For the first time in the company’s two-year history, notorious anti-war clothing line The Original Lefty’s has been accepted and intends to showcase at the February MAGIC Pool Tradeshow to be held in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Pool Tradeshow, which boasts more than 10,000 international buyers, is welcoming the politically progressive fashion line with an open mind. The reception by international retailers is still to be determined, but the shear presence of The Original Lefty’s at an international tradeshow marks a giant step in the political tide within the United States.

Undoubtedly the top political clothing line in the United States, The Original Lefty’s has sold thousands of anti-war garments without attending a clothing tradeshow. To date, their most notable design is the image of George W. Bush wearing KISS makeup with the words DISS written above the image, a thoughtful parody of legendary rock band KISS. From the Village Voice to musical magazines like URB and Revolver, the influence and mission of The Original Lefty’s has been the subject of more than 200 articles and profiles since the company’s introduction to retail stores.

But it is the designs in their latest collection titled, “Shock & Awe,” which have gained friends and foes internationally. While the company has been met with record breaking sales at cutting edge retailers like Fred Segal and the AntiMarket, they have simultaneously dealt with hate mail, death threats, and several online resources dedicated to debunking the clothing line and its founders. “These message boards are filled with people that want us dead in very specific ways. To be quite honest, it is some of the best true crime writing I’ve ever read…Captivating,” Lefty’s co- founder Cory Danziger responds.

Danziger and Dosaj are not new to controversial and edgy business ventures. Together they own and operate SceneFour, a design and creativity house with an assortment of A-List clients. Dosaj and Danziger’s work can be seen behind Marilyn Manson, Bishop of Seventh, and Al Gore’s Current TV. The Original Lefty’s, which began as a “political experiment,” quickly sold thousands of garments and soon opened a showroom and corporate office located in downtown Los Angeles. As a result, Danziger and Dosaj now split their time between SceneFour and the clothing line.
