Celebrity Makeup Artist Gives High School Age Girls the Makeover of Their Dreams Celebrity makeup artist and creator of The Butterfly Project™ Nick Roques invite high school age girls to experience the royal treatment. (PRWEB) January 4, 2006 -- Celebrity Makeup Artist and creator of The Butterfly Project™ Nick Roques invite high school age girls to have the makeover of their dreams. Nick and her Glam Squad will coach teens on what Nick calls, their “gift-wrapping.”
“I felt hideously ugly for over half of my life and it was an encounter with a great makeup artist that allowed me to see my external beauty once again. Makeup and beauty wellness services can be inspiring when utilized as a tool and not a crutch. I want to share that experience with young women going through the sometimes-awkward metamorphosis of becoming a woman. Sometimes you've gotta come in through the back door to get into the house. For me, experiencing my external beauty gave me access to having the confidence to journey inward. In the end, perception of beauty is really in the mind."
Nick has played fairy god-mother to the likes of Jill Scott, Leila Ali, india.arie, Vivica A. Fox, Nia Long, Pam Grier, Tiger Woods, Shaquille O'Neal, Kobe Bryant, Patti LaBelle, Amy Smart, MOS DEF, supermodels Cheryl Tiegs and Tatjana Patitz amongst others in Los Angeles since 1998. Hand-picked by Michael Jordan, the world's most legendary athlete almost nine years ago, Nick has traveled coast-to-coast and worked in Hollywood on film, TV, and music videos.
This event is the precursor to the launch of The Butterfly Project™ a fun four-day group workshop (Previewing Spring 2006 during the public school spring break and launching late summer 2006) facilitated by exercises, games and coaching to inspire, develop and launch pre-teen and teen females onto doing the thing they were born to do. "We "laser-beam" into what could be their life's purpose, give them an inspiring environment and provide a structure to bring what they were born to do to reality. It's an opportunity to excavate for the girl's gifts, pull them out, dust them off, shine'em up and create a strategy for giving them away as much as possible." says creator and facilitator, Nick Roques.
Nick coined the term, “gift-wrapping” people with the understanding that “everyone has a gift inside and that gift deserves a lovely package.”
This event will be held monthly in Chicago. Girls will be selected by submitted questionnaire. For information on participating in this event and to receive the entry questionnaire please call (877) 896-6846.
